WHITE CHEDDAR MAC & CHEESE

All of them are amazing, oh so cheesy, and absolutely tasty. Who doesn’t love a big ol’ bowl of Mac & Cheese on the regular?
If there’s one thing about Mac & Cheese that is always so true, it’s that it’s actually SO easy to make at home. Not to mention, it’s so fast too!
This White Cheddar Mac & Cheese is a serious delicious recipe made with all white cheddar cheese.
A good sharp cheddar is the best flavored cheese, especially when it’s white.
It was always the go to cheddar cheese when we were growing up, and we love using it in recipes.
A roux is started for this White Cheddar Mac & Cheese, like all cheddar sauces. Milk and heavy cream are added slowly to thicken the sauce until it’s bubbling hot. A whole block of shredded white cheddar, yes a whole block of cheese, is tossed in and melted until the cheese sauce is gooey.
Next, the cheddar cheese sauce is poured into the noodles and mixed until everything is covered in golden white cheddar cheesy goodness. The best part about this White Cheddar Mac & Cheese is that it’s a no bake stove top version and it’s ready to eat as soon as it’s mixed!

EACH TIME YOU ADD MILK OR CREAM, STIR AND LET THE SAUCE BUBBLE AND THICKEN BEFORE ADDING MORE

Ingredients
- 1/4 CUP BUTTER
- 1/4 CUP FLOUR
- 1 CUP SKIM MILK
- 2 CUPS HEAVY CREAM
- 2 CUPS WHITE CHEDDAR, SHREDDED (8 OUNCES)
- 1 TSP DRY MUSTARD POWDER
- 1 LB PASTA NOODLES, COOKED
- S&P
Instructions
- COOK PASTA
- MELT BUTTER IN A MEDIUM SAUCEPAN
- ADD FLOUR AND WHISK UNTIL COMBINED, COOK 1 MINUTE UNTIL GOLDEN (KEEP STIRRING)
- ADD IN MILK 1/4 CUP AT A TIME, STIR AND LET BUBBLE ON MEDIUM LOW HEAT BEFORE ADDING MORE MILK EACH TIME
- ADD IN HEAVY CREAM 1/2 CUP AT A TIME, STIR AND LET BUBBLE BEFORE ADDING MORE CREAM EACH TIME
- TOSS IN SHREDDED CHEESE, MUSTARD, AND S&P
- MIX WITH THE WHISK UNTIL SMOOTH
- POUR SAUCE INTO NOODLES AND MIX GENTLY
