THANKSGIVING MEAL IDEAS

Thanksgiving is coming (don’t fight it!) so we put together some THANKSGIVING MEAL IDEAS to help this holiday season!

Most of us make a turkey or ham (or both!) and need some tasty things to go with the main so we created this list of 2 Appetizers, a Cocktail (sangria), 2 Sides, and 2 Desserts to give you a little inspiration this year. We all have our classic go to’s but sometimes it’s fun to switch it up slightly or try something new.

All of these recipes are easy (our number one must have!) and have ingredient lists that are short enough to not stress you out. And most importantly all of these are absolutely DELISH and some of our favorite recipes of all time.

Feel free to use this menu as a guide for the whole day or pick and choose recipes that sound like they fit in your existing menu. We all know that food is what makes this holiday so much more fun!

CREAMY BLT DIP

Can you think of a better flavor combination to start your meal? Savory bacon, creamy garlicky dip, juicy tomatoes, fresh lettuce with crunchy chips. YUM! This dip has been a quick favorite, it’s so simple and has the best flavor when everything’s combined. Super fast, this can be on the table in minutes!

Don’t eat too much, it’s a little addicting and you might fill up!

MARINATED GOATS CHEESE BALLS

We love anything marinated in olive oil. These little Goats Cheese Balls are perfectly seasoned with red pepper flakes and fresh herbs making them incredibly tasty slathered on toasted baguettes. Fresh basil, dill, and parsley really give this appetizer it’s flavors making it perfect for Fall!

And it’s so pretty to serve :).

RED WINE SANGRIA

You can’t celebrate Thanksgiving without a cocktail, unless you want to and then #youdoyouboo. BUT this sangria is so easy it’s not even funny. Flavored with a sweet red wine (or use dry), fresh fruit and juice, and sparkled with ginger ale. This version is spiced up with triple sec and vodka to give it added flavor but feel free to leave those ingredients out if you prefer.

Sangria also tastes really great with turkey, or so we hear!

SOUTHERN LIVING SALAD

Salads can be used as a starter or side dish. We’re thinking side dish for this recipe that has all the right toppings. Brown sugared walnuts made quickly at home paired with goats cheese and spinach give this salad a fast advantage. Homemade red wine vinaigrette with garlic and red onion rounds out this beauty with a tang!

Substitute feta for goats cheese and purchase sugared walnuts if you want to skip that step. Dress right before serving, this recipe is gold.

MASHED POTATO BACON PANCAKES

Use this for a side dish spin on mashed potatoes or leftover mashed potatoes after Thanksgiving. The choice is yours!

Cheesy bacon pancakes sauteed until crispy then topped with sour cream. If you’re looking for a unique way to serve mashed potatoes this Thanksgiving, this recipe is your new best friend.

HONEY and OAT GRANOLA PIE

Dessert is our absolute favorite. We’ve shared this pie many times because it’s that good!

Crispy granola bars with oats and the sticky sweet filling of a pecan pie. This one is more unique and has a nice surprise of chocolate chips sprinkled throughout! The crunch from this pie makes it so delicious all baked on a pre-made pie crust because #yolo.

Serve with fresh whipping cream for the dream team experience.

EASY CHOCOLATE PIE

Because you haven’t had enough chocolate yet… This pie is easy and it’s chocolatey and it’s the best served with vanilla bean ice cream.

Thanksgiving is the time to do pies so why not try both if you’re feeling up to it! Think of the easiest pie you can make, because this is probably it. Semi-sweet chocolate, butter, sugar, and eggs again in a pre-made crust because you’ve got things to do!

Happy Early Thanksgiving!

Good luck with your menu, we hope these Thanksgiving Meal Ideas help give you some new ideas.

Much love,
