SUGARED PECANS (SLOW COOKER)

I have childhood memories of being in one place and smelling something sweet, homey, and full of cinnamon. In most cases, it was sugared pecans, still warming in there boxes and I remember thinking I have to have some of those.

That obsession continued into young adult hood and I can’t seem to resist walking past sugared pecans and not purchasing them.

This particular love also continues into salads and other foods with candied nuts, I just cannot resist.

Because of that craving, I made some for myself today (because phew, purchasing those babies are pricy).

If you have never made sugared/candied nuts, I’ll let you know a little secret; it consists of sugar & nuts (basically).

Okay it’s a little more than that, you have to add cinnamon as well ;). But other than that, it doesn’t get more complicated.

This recipe is literally the easiest thing ever, you just have to be there as it cooks. It requires stirring every 20 minutes, which is slightly annoying but sorry you have to do it or the sugar might burn and your sugared pecans will be ruined!

I’ll tell you one problem with this recipe, once they are cooked I just want to eat them all. They make your house smell all yummy and delicious and then once you try one you might as well just stand there eating one after the other. Or at least that’s what I did.

I stored mine in little jars for cuteness sake but a tupperware will work just as well. Make sure it seals and keeps the sugared pecans fresh!

As I told you earlier, it is literally sugar and pecans and a few additives. Other than that it is pretty much a home run.

Go out and make your own sugared pecans, now you don’t have to buy them hot at the mall. You can find them right at home!
