PRETZEL ENERGY BITES
These Pretzel Energy Bites are my new favorite thing.
Awesome to grab on the go, snack on, or eat for Breakfast. They are soooooo easy to make; it’s kinda cray, delicious, and sweetened with agave nectar and NO sugar!
Win, win, wins all around with these energy balls.
I have made some Energy Bites before but these were creme de la delicious.
These Energy Chocolate Chip Balls were scrumptious and filled with yummy ingredients and of course mini chocolate chips but I wanted to try a newer version.
But these Pretzel Energy Bites are on a whole ‘nother level. The blended pretzels give an awesome crunch to the bites, the chocolate chips give a little kick when you bite into one, the agave nectar keeps the peanut butter, coconut oil, and almond meal sweetened and the shredded coconut just brings it all home (in your mouth).
Oats are the real MVP here, they keep the balls
together and they’re the base for the whole recipe.
You can’t really have one ingredient without the other in this recipe.
I like to keep these Pretzel Energy Bites in my fridge so they’re always ready to go. They are the best in between meal snack because they will fill you up and have just enough wholesome-ness to literally give you energy.
The biggest reason of all to make these right now is that you won’t have an afternoon crash from sweets, preservatives, or
rich chocolate when you indulge in these.
All the flavors your body is craving but with healthier choices (gluten free as well) to give you just what you need for a pick me up!
- 1 1/2 cup oats
- 1 1/2 cup pretzels
- 1/2 cup sweetened or unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1/4 cup almond meal
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1/4 cup agave nectar
- 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips
- Place the pretzels in a blender and pulse until chopped up.
- Mix the pretzels with oats, coconut, almond meal, peanut butter, coconut oil, and agave nectar.
- Lastly toss in the mini chips.
- Start rolling the mixture into 1″ balls.
- You should end up with 24 balls roughly (I ate some of it so I only had 22) :)
I hope you whip these up for yourself and your loved ones this weekend.
Remember to keep them in the fridge!
