FOOD GUIDE TO GREENVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA

Here’s a comprehensive list of the places we loved and what we loved about them in this Food Guide To Greenville, South Carolina.

Greenville is such a cool place with a thriving down town area that has awesome restaurants, breweries, bars, and dessert shops. If you’re craving it, they have it! Not to mention, it’s so walk able and the falls are just a beautiful sight to see.

Willy Taco

It came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. We started with the Tres Amigos (duh) and ended with the biggest chimichanga covered in burrito sauce AND cheese dip. Heaven on a platter. Don’t forget the fresh citrus margaritas, that’s a must!

Methodical Coffee

This coffee shop was the cutest and had the best decor, they even had a record player on the counter playing some sweet tunes.

Totally recommend the Tres Leches iced latte: condensed milk, whole milk (they offer oat or almond), evaporated milk, and espresso. The Best! Also can’t go wrong with their Cold Brew.

After our morning walk to the beautiful falls located in the “heart” of Greenville, we were hungry for some real food!

Nose Dive

Nose Dive Gastro Pub had the coolest set up with a huge open window letting the September air inside the restaurant. Luckily, we snagged a table outside in the sunshine.

Fish and Chips is something that is always light enough but filling at the same time. I was mainly sold by the malt vinegar tartar sauce. Such perfection with fresh lemon juice and hand cut french fries.

After lunch we were ready for some breweries. If there is one thing about AU and I we loooooovvve breweries. And what’s more fun than new breweries in new places?!?

Fireforge Crafted Beer

Beer for everyone here, they had a little Oktoberfest celebration that we joined in on and the beer was top notch. AU had an Oktoberfest and I tried the Hefe, we loved them both!

Yeehaw Brewing

Next, we walked over to Yeehaw Brewing and joined in on the game, well not me but AU watched some SC football.

This place also felt like the outside was inside and vice versa, we loved the vibe and the central bar area.

FunnelDelicious

The whole time we were in Greenville, SC I wanted to stop at FunnelDelicious and OMG please go there ASAP.

Best funnel cake of my life and best cinnamon sugar donuts of my life.

Hands down, no exceptions. The place was super cute, located near some fun shopping boutiques, and had the sweetest lady making our fresh treats!

I can’t even with these cinnamon sugar donuts.

Had to share the cinnamon swirl with you, inside the donuts!

Hot and fresh, there is nothing better.

Soby’s

We celebrated our anniversary at this nice restaurant on Saturday night, because so thankful for two married years with an amazing hubs.

Soby’s has a southern flair with a modern approach and had a super cool upstairs loft area where we sat and celebrated. They even gave us free champagne as a congratulations, I was touched!

Traditionally, I ordered Shrimp & Grits with spicy sausage and tomatoes, so good! And AU ordered Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin that was literally so tender and matched perfectly with the whipped creamy mashed potatoes.

No, he did not eat that broccolini if you were wondering.

Trappe Door

This bar may or may not have been my favorite place and item of the whole trip. We sat at the bar underground and felt like we were both back in Belgium.

The bar tenders were top notch and made me the MOST AMAZING cocktail of my life. Which could not have been more perfect because I had skipped dessert at Soby’s and needed a sweet treat.

Ramos Gin Fizz is pictured below and when I tell you it’s dessert you may not even know there is gin in there. It’s a blended (12 minute shaken) cocktail with heavy cream, an egg white, simple syrup, orange blossom water, Gin (duh), club soda, and lemon & lime juice.

We will be trying to remake these this weekend, I purchased orange blossom water on amazon that night ;).

Stay tuned.

Sully’s Steamers

Sunday morning called for some bready-ness and this place was the perfect stop before our long walk on the Rabbit Creek Trail.

They serve world famous steamed bagels instead of toasted. Try the California bagel or the Lox (always my choice) with chive cream cheese!

Port City Java

Lastly, we breezed into Port City Java for the most magical milkshake.

Espresso, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate sauce is all I ever need.

Every time we’re near a Port City Java, I have to stop in for this milkshake (GO PACK!).

All in all we had the best weekend ever celebrating our anniversary and loved Greenville.
