BUTTER PECAN CAKE WITH CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

Jump to recipe

When you’re craving cake and it’s a new kind of something; Butter Pecan Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting.

A similar cake made an appearance in my life recently from a local bakery and I devoured the gigantic piece almost all in one bite.

It was magical and I just KNEW I had to try and re-create it for myself and for YOU! You’re going to love it, I promise.

This dreamy cake has allllllllll the flavor.

The base is a Butter Pecan box cake (literally the best), an extra egg and the usual oil and water. But what makes this cake SUPER special is the toasted buttered brown sugar pecans in the middle.

Oh yes, toasted halved pecans (way better than chopped) in butter that’s browned and tossed with dark brown sugar. The brown sugar melts a little bit but leaves a nice sugary crunch in the center of the soft cake once it’s baked.

Such a nice change in texture with a slight crunch of nuts and brown sugar.

THE BEST!

I always swear by a box cake with an extra egg but a must is a homemade frosting.

Delectable thick and creamy Cream Cheese Frosting is swirled on top of this Butter Pecan Cake to complete this masterpiece!

It’s thick and just the right amount of tang with full fat cream cheese, softened butter, a little vanilla, and powdered sugar. Perfect for piping some swirls!

And don’t you just love a bundt cake?!

Much love,
