BLENDED HOT SALSA

Jump to recipe

Summer always reminds us of fresh tomato salsa on a hot day. Just like this Blended Hot Salsa, it takes all your Summer “feelings” and blends them into a juicy mouth watering dip waiting for tortilla chips.

This recipe is perfect for this season because it uses up all your fresh garden goodies before we enter into Fall. Perfect timing is when you have six ripe tomatoes all ready to go at once, like we did.

Homegrown tomatoes, homegrown jalapeños, (and if you’re lucky enough) home grown cilantro, and home grown sweet yellow onion are the perfect four ingredients for this recipe.

All fresh from hot Summer days, just waiting to be blended up and devoured.

Add in some (actually a lot) of garlic and cumin and you’re ready for a party! The best part? This salsa is ready to serve in under 30 minutes, it’s that quick.

Hot Blended Salsa is like an explosion in your mouth. It tastes fresher than anything you can imagine (thanks to the tomatoes and jalapeños we used). It’s not only super flavorful but it has a pow to it that you don’t usually find in a store bought salsa.

There are no preservatives in this unlike most other pre made salsas or even pico de gallos. Natural sweetness from the homegrown tomatoes negates the need for sugar, which is always a wonderful thing.

The less ingredients, the better.

Sea salt gives this salsa a powerful flavor punch that regular salt does not add. And to top it all off a squeezing of lime juice provides the citrus taste that slightly tingles your tongue and keeps you craving more.

This one is addictive.

Tortilla chips are the obvious choice for the “chip” part of this tasty dip. Make sure you get some good ones with some weight to them.

We can’t stand when you’re mid deep dipping and your chip breaks. UGH!

Much love,
