BABY UZZELL’S NURSERY
If you don’t already know, we’re expecting our first baby this November and we are SO EXCITED!!
We’ve been working on the nursery with all this extra time at home and I wanted to share Baby Uzzell’s Nursery with you! I found so much inspiration from other nurseries I saw online and of course on Pinterest so I figured maybe this post could inspire someone else.
I’ll do my best to link everything below!
I had a SUPER specific vision from the very start (before we even knew gender) and I couldn’t of finished it without my patient hubby AU, my Mom who is a golden star, and my Dad who even helped out!
They truly are the best.
THANK YOU!
The theme I was going for was of course gender neutral (AU and I are the only ones who officially know the gender!), minimal, lot’s of white with black matte accents, modern with a transitional twist, animals (of course), baskets/natural decor and mixed metals/surfaces.
SIDE TABLE: Target Marble Round Table- Brass
BASKET POUF: Decor Therapy- Natural

I am completely thrilled with the finished nursery and totally think Baby Uzi will love it as well.
FOX HAMPER: Pottery Barn Kids Fox Storage Basket
HEDGEHOG DIAPER BASKET: Pottery Barn Kids Hedgehog Basket
The curtains are one of the sweetest features in my opinion with the little colored tassels. I first saw inspiration on Anthro but refused to pay the price so I found these curtains on Target instead. We cut off the big black side tassels and my Mom hand made all the little tassels (I contributed like 12 out of 144) and then we hand threaded/tacked them onto the curtains.
This was a DIY project that I felt adds so much to Baby Uzzell’s Nursery and the little pop of color is just perfect!
CURTAINS: Target Opalhouse Contrast Stripe Curtain- Black
CURTAIN RODS: Target Marble Curtain Rod- Brass
The black accent wall is one of my favorite features entirely. I wanted something bold and unique but didn’t want the nursery to feel dark and dingy. My mom painted the nursery and then painted this angled wall (she can literally do anything). The vertical ship lap already existed when we first bought the house and the bold choice turned out better than I ever expected!
BLACK PAINT COLOR: Sherwin Williams Black of Night 6993 WHITE PAINT COLOR: Sherwin Williams Extra White 7006
Let me tell you a little story about this beautiful rocking chair. It’s been in my Mom’s family since my Grandpa was 14 years old and bought it for his Mom! It originally came from Norway then went to South Africa and then came to America. I’ve had it for a few years knowing one day I would use it in our nursery. I love having a piece of family history that we’ll keep in the family forever!
DRESSER: IKEA Hemnes 8 Drawer- White Stain DRESSER KNOBS: Bhartiya Handicrafts Ceramic Multi Drawer Knob LAMP: Target Geometric Wood Lamp CHANGER: Keekaroo Peanut- Grey SUCCULENTS: Motini Artificial Succulents
At first I didn’t think I wanted a traditional baby mobile but I found these metal moon phases on Amazon after everything was complete and it was the perfect finishing touch. They somehow fit right under the shelves and felt like they completed this little corner.
Our shelves are another DIY project that was so worth it! The shelf brackets are from IKEA and the wood bought locally by Mom which she then stained. I am always in love with wood accents in any space.
MOON MOBILE: Mkono Moon Phase Wall Hanging- Black
MIRROR: Greyleigh Needville Accent Mirror
FLOOR LAMP: Task Floor Lamp- Brass
This rug was a true golden find by my Mom at Homegoods. Initially I had bought one online that I returned after delivery kept getting pushed out. My original choice was totally different and I don’t think it would of worked. This neutral geometric option could not be more perfect.
A black crib was the second thing I KNEW I wanted (aside from the rocking chair) and there are so many choices out there. This one fit our style and I immediately loved the high back and lower front. What a feature piece!
Our baby animal prints are another thing I die over. These are by The Crown Prints that I found on Etsy and I swoon over the realism of the baby faces with the cutest expressions. I bought these already printed but the shop offers a print your own version for a cheaper price. Frames are from West Elm with the perfect mattes already in place.

It feels really incredible to have finished Baby Uzzell’s Nursery and be able to focus on other things as we near the third trimester!
Let me know if you have any questions!
Much baby love,
