THE BEST MOSCOW MULES (Texas Mules)

Jump to recipe

My drink of choice this summer has been a refreshing, light and crispy Moscow Mule.

Have you ever heard of a Moscow Mule/have you had one before?

If you have not, you are greatly missing out and you need to put them in your line up for the holiday weekend!

MOSCOWMULES1

In this post, these would technically be called a Texas Mule because the delicious vodka I used is from Texas. Duh! Titos vodka has been my vodka of choice because it so smooth and is the perfect compliment to the ginger beer used in these summer cocktails.

The absolute best thing about these drinks is the refreshing notes from the freshly squeezed lime juice that mixes into the bubbly ginger beer. It’s a little bit bubbly but not overpowering and the flavors are so light and delicious!

My experience with ginger beer has increased greatly this summer, I have now started picking up 2 four packs from Harris Teeter to have them in stock at our house.

Let me explain to you what ginger beer is in-case you don’t already know…

GINGER BEER: is brewed and fermented, but does not include beer in it

GINGER ALE: a soda made from carbonated water and ginger

Basically ginger beer has a more intense ginger flavor and has real ginger in it. Ginger ale has a lot more sugar and sometimes does not even contain real ginger! So that’s the scoop.

Ginger beer or ginger ale works in these cocktails, so pick your favorite and pour it in a pitcher.

Be careful when you sip on these, they are known to be so good that you do not realize they have alcohol in them.

I started drinking mine like it was a regular ginger ale!

Enjoy these will the sun is still warm. I’ll probably still mix a few up this winter, they’re that good!

I’ll be sipping on this this weekend, have a great 4th everyone!
